Connor is star student this week. The star students get to have special privileges in class for the week that they are chosen. They also get to have lunch with their principal on the stage in the cafeteria. The principal acknowledges them in front of their peers as being star students and the star students then get to make a "shout out" to their friends. Connor couldn't decide which friend to make a shout out to so, he made 6 shout outs. One of Connor's best friends, Ashley, was star student too. Ashley and Connor are only 2 months apart and act more like sister and brother than friends. Ashley used to be our neighbor but moved a couple miles away a couple years ago. They still go to each others houses to play but have not been playing together at recess because the other kids kept asking if they were boyfriend and girlfriend.
