Summer is officially over...

...says the school calendar, not the weather man!


All three kids came home from school happy. They were pretty excited to share about their day. Actually, the girls talked a mile a minute but Connor took a little coaxing. We asked if his teacher was nice and his response was, "Well, today she was". I think he is going to enjoy his teacher. Connor has 36 kids in his class. Yes, 36!!! That is way too many! They had 33 at "meet the teacher" day. They needed 35 to be able to bring in a new 3rd grade teacher. We were hoping the count would go up quickly so we could get the new teacher soon. Connor had 19 in his class last year so hearing there was 33 (now 36) in his class this year was a shock.

Courtney says she thinks she is really going to like her history class. She is on the newspaper staff again and is hoping to go to Washington DC with her journalism class in November. When asked what the best part of her day was she said, "I got a really cute boy's phone number!" Glad school didn't disappoint you Court!

Cass thought school would be terrible but she said she actually enjoyed it. She is excited about most of her teachers and classes. The best part of her day??? "Everyone thought I looked really cute!" she says. Cassie is in chorus again. She says advanced science is going to be her best class.

Connor was excited to get to school today. He likes to go early so he can get in a game of kickball before the bell rings. His favorite part of the day was PE. He says that in 3rd grade PE is longer and for that he is very happy. Many of Connor's friends from last year are in his class this year.
