Courtney made the JV cheer squad tonight. Yesterday she had a clinic to learn three cheers and one dance. They had under two hours to learn these. Tryouts were today. Her best friend Kayla tried out too. The girls had to perform two of the three cheers (judges pick), the dance routine, two jumps (one was judges choice) and some basic tumbling. Court was so nervous. She has never tried out for cheer before. A few of her friends cheered in Jr. high and I think she was bummed that she didn't tryout. Well, she did this year and she made it! She was so relieved when it was over and was thrilled that she beat girls that had tried out the last three years.
The girls were given a number and then the judges called them in three at a time. Courtney and her best friend Kayla were picked to go together. One of the girls was very late to tryouts so Courtney and Kayla went in without a third person. Courtney said they really played it up. When they were done Courtney was jumping up and down, showing spirit, when Kayla hears a judge say to another judge, "They were so very cute".
Hooray! I made it!

That is so great. Tell her we said Way to go! This will leave her with memories she will have forever. I loved highschool football games... Those were some good times!
