The smell of freshly sharpened pencils is in the air.

The kids have completed their first week of school.

Connor is a big first grader now. He came home from his first day of school excited because he has "a real math book and a real reading book".

The girls were actually pretty anxious to get back to school.

Cassie is in 6th grade and Courtney is in 9th. Cassie is thrilled that there is a new art teacher this year. Courtney is thrilled that there are sophmore boys at her school. Hmmm, I'm thinking dad's not as thrilled with this.
