On my moms birthday, we surprised her with a dinner at a place called the Arrowhead Grill. Mom thought her and Edward were going out for a quiet dinner for two but....Surprise! It turned out to be a dinner for 6! How nice it was to eat out with just the adults. AND...how tough it was to pull these plans together. Poor Edward was trying to get mom to pick a place to eat for her birthday and she was undecided all the way up to the day before her birthday. None of us had been to the Arrowhead Grill before and boy was it good. It is closer to my end of town so, Joel and Mary dropped their kiddos off at my house to hang out with Cass and Connor (Courtney was in Prescott for a cheer competition). After dinner we came back to our place for dessert with the kids. Ending the night with carrot cake, a chocolate peanut butter cup cake and ice cream sounds like a good idea to me :)
It was such an honor to celebrate another year of life with mom! She is such an important part of our family. She has been my special gift these past 40 plus years. Thanks mom for loving us and we hope you felt the love on your special day!
P.S. We were also celebrating Edwards b'day too! He is also another year wiser. We love you too Edward!!!

Thank you once again for such a great "tuprise" (as Cass used to say). You don't know how great it was to see you & Patrick and Joel & Mary when I came to the table at the restaurant. By the way your shrimp cocktail was awesome!
Connor Boy knew how to tug at my heart strings with that heart shaped ivy!
What a special night! You made turning the big 6-0 not so bad!
Love, Mom
