A romantic breakfast

On Saturday Patrick planned on getting up early to start on his "honey do" list (yard work, changing out some light fixtures in a couple of hallways, adding a dimer switch to one of the new lights, changing out light switches and their face plates and working on the pool). He is preaching the next two weekends so he decided to do it all in one day. When he got up at 6:30 he saw Connor on the couch all wrapped up in a blanket. He tells Patrick to go look at the table. Patrick sees our kitchen table set with two electric candles glowing and handmade menus sitting at our spots. "Wow buddy, did you do that?" Connor says he did (he got up at 6am and was dressed up and wrapped in his blanket so we couldn't see what he was wearing) and he wants to wake me up so he can make us breakfast. Being the smart daddy that he is, Patrick encourages Connor to let mommy sleep in because waking her up at 6:30 on a Saturday would NOT be a good thing to do. When I finally get up, Patrick and I run to Lowes to pick out the new lights. I got back just in time to get Courtney to her cheer competition. When I pulled in my driveway my mom pulls in behind me. She was there a very short time but during all this, Connor is still waiting to make us breakfast. Poor guy. It's now about 11:30 and we tell him we are ready. He comes out of his room in his suit and tells us he is ready to take our order. Pancakes for me (luckily the last time we made pancakes I made extra and froze them) and daddy ordered cereal. A quick breakfast was a must since Patrick had to get the lights replaced and turned back on for us to take showers. We had to be somewhere at 3:00. So while Connor is "making" our breakfast he pops his head over the counter and reminds us that "there will be a bill at the end of breakfast". So there we are eating our breakfast when out comes Connor with his violin. "This will cost extra." he says. We ate our breakfast while listening to Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star and Mary had a Little Lamb being played by our beginner violinist. It was too cute! We paid our $6 bill and headed off to finish our morning duties so we could go celebrate Aunt Bridget's and Papa's birthdays. I'll have Connor make up some business cards for those of you who want to hire him for your next special event!
