Summer time, summer time, sum, sum, summer time....

Every year I am excited for summer to get here. Now things can slow down, right? Well, I've come to learn that we do not slow down in the summers. Summer just brings on all new activities.

Connor is in the middle of his championship games for Little League. This year has been a learning experience for him. We ended the year with 1 win and something like sixteen loses and 1 tie game. This is very hard for a little boy who does not like to lose. Not to mention a few kids on his team were very naughty (to put it nicely). Our coaches didn't schedule any practices once the games started so, that was frustrating. But yes... we are still in the championships because there are only three teams in our league. The season ends on the 15th of this month. HOORAY!!!!
Connor and a couple of his friends are going to a VBS down the street from us. Today was the first day and he had a ton of fun. He can't wait to go back tomorrow.
Courtney is cheering again at her high school. Her practices will start at the end of June and she will also go to cheer camp. She is doing some babysitting and odd jobs to earn money for camp.
Cassie has already had two sleep overs at our house and has been to two sleepovers. She will go to camp with her youth group. They are going to Colorado this year and she is very excited about that. We LOVE Colorado!
Speaking of Colorado, that is where we are vacationing next week. Can't wait! We are hoping to get a little white water rafting and horseback riding in. We also have a cousin and his family coming to stay with us for a couple days while we are there.
All this mixed in with summer movies days with cousins, a trip to Prescott in July, kid swaps and work, makes for a busy summer.

I've been bad in the picture taking department. Our oldest broke the screen on our camera. The camera still works it's just frustrating when you can't view the picture you just took. Did they blink? Is it blurry? Do I need to take another one? Wow, just like "back in the day" when we had to take pictures, develop the film and hope a few good ones come out. At least I can still view them on the computer before getting prints made.
Anyway, here are a few random pictures to make my post a little more interesting.

These are pictures of Connor with his reading trophy. You earn a trophy by reading 100 books outside of school. Connor read about 175 books this year.

Connor and his teacher. Does anyone remember his picture from the first day of school? (Go to my August post if you need a reminder). This is a much better picture!
